If you can set a few branches in their shelter, they will feel homely and climb them. The branches should be steady and should not give way due to the weight of your pets or if they lay down on the branches. Marine iguanas are classified as poikilothermic creatures. They can spend only a short time in cold water of sea when they dive in search of their algae food. They normally swim in the places in islands where the water is not deep. After swimming, they normally bask in the sun to warm up their bodies. It is better if you remain with it initially, until it becomes acquainted to the place and starts feeling homely in that environment. 5.
