In 1997, the Baylor College of Medicine published a study where 76% of treated patients using permanent magnets had reported a decrease in arthritic joint and muscle pains compared to the 19% placebo patients. The New York Medical College also released a study showing a significant reduction rate of foot pain in millions of diabetic patients. Suspending the magnet on a thread and waiting for its ends to point somewhere is the easiest way to identify the poles. (The north-pointing end is the North Pole and the opposite should be the South Pole.) Characteristics of magnets Flat ceramic or neodymium magnets are the best therapeutic magnets. (U-shaped magnets are not very good for therapy. There are some magnetic products that would often warn their customers of their use and ask them to consult their doctors, especially those with pacemakers, working with high-voltage equipment and allergic to metals. If there are people who intently believed and experienced magnetic treatment, then there would also be people who remains to be skeptical of the treatment. We need to use stronger magnets since it is important to reach organs and different elements like boron, cobalt and samarium. With magnetic healing, the magnets are in close contact with the problem area. Injuries, pain and inflammation can be a cause of electromagnetic induction. The intention is to regularize or return the body to its balanced condition. This arrangement maximizes the electromagnetic field generated by each magnet. Just as the quantity of magnets matters, the strength is very important as well. And finally, for added comfort it would be best to have a piece of cloth or fabric that is wrapped a round the area where you will be placing the magnet onto. Neodymiums are stronger magnets than the ceramic types and are probably the best ones for therapeutic use. The Neodymium magnets range in strength from N24 to N55 with the latter one being the strongest one. The stronger the magnet the deeper the magnetic field can penetrate the body. The deeper the field goes, the more effective the results would be.
