The mere sound of the name rings bells of adventure, exploration, realization and hunting. Because of the diversity of hunting safari, it offers as much opportunities for hunting fanatics to explore a range of ecological areas that have their own specialties. Well, it's hard to imagine how we can exactly describe the purity of Africa. As we have earlier noted, the Arusha town is the starting point for northern adventure. It sits nearest to Mount Meru and only distant enough so travelers will get to see the mighty and awesome Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain found in all Africa. Arusha, aside from the wild animals that it nurses, is also a refuge for rich tapestry of ecosystems that thrive on grassland, heath, montane forest, alpine desert and soda and fresh water lakes. Nocturnal animals, on the other hand, are only about to rest while the sun rises. The safaris, though more famous for the games and wild animals, were not created solely to do just that. Or the hippos and the gorillas, are they not large enough? Actually, the term big five was not given primarily to the five members because they were large or graceful or tall. Climbing lions that prefer sleeping the day up on the tree branches than lying comfortably in the grasslands as all other lions do. While it gather its fame from the strangely dispositioned lions, it is also popular for its large congregation of lake birds such as the pelicans, Egyptian geese, storks, quelea, flamingos and cormorants. There simply are too many sights to feed your spirit and too many places where you may see the real and seldomly seen creations. This is what an African safari may look like- A spot may feature a snow-capped mountain while another site will let you witness the miracle of aquatic reefs. And there are definitely desserts and endless selections of wildlife.
