Entertainment For Your Childs Party For any children's birthday party to be successful, you have to have the right kind of entertainment planned. Children's attention spans are relatively short, compared to adults, and they won't hesitate to show you they are bored when they are. Their accompanying guardians or parents might be polite enough not to tell you outright that your party bombed, but kids will tell you the real score to your face, much to the disappointment of your child, whose benefit was the one you had in mind when you threw the party in the first place. A grumpy entertainer who hates children might only ruin the party you prepared so hard for for your child. You can find prospects by searching the local listings or by surfing the Internet. It would be better if you hire someone who has been referred by a friend or a family member, because, at least you have an idea of his or her performance, attitude and track record. In fact, the one thing that you can actually focus on with the food is how they look. Children judge food initially based on their appearance, so you might want to make them enticing. Enticing, for kids, means cartoony and colorful, so you can go play with food coloring if you want. Blue spaghetti? Why not? As soon as everyone figures out the right buddy, let them sit again beside their "Farm Buddies". Fruit Basket Form a circle with chairs. The chairs should be one less than the number of players. The person standing says,"I'm grateful for (a characteristic, outfit or state of a person)" and every child with that characteristic stands up and scurries for another chair to sit on. What types of games can you use? Pin the tail on the donkey (or any other character or object) is a staple in most parties. It has been a tried and tested entertainer and it never fails to keep the kids happy. Another activity you can have is Hit the Pinata. It's easy to make a pinata. You just need a paper grocery bag filled with all sorts of goodies and little toys and decorate it with colorful paper and stickers. Not only are invitations a formal way of letting people know that you'd like their presence at your event, it's also a great way to keep the guest list in check, just in case you don't want anyone uninvited to crash your party. Of course, since you're planning a children's party, your invitations should fit the theme.
