Aloe vera, ice chips and antibiotics applied on the bite are thought to reduce the discomfort and speed up healing; yet, none of them is considered a 100% reliable remedy for hobo spider bites. The consequences of the exposure to the venom of hobo spiders are less serious than the bites of the brown recluse spider for instance. Like many other venomous creatures, the black widow spider has bright red pattens on it as a warning sign for predators that would attempt to feed on it. The black widow spider is not capable of killing a bird that would eat it, but the digestive sickness that would follow, will be definitely enough to make it avoid attacking the black widow again. The camel spider is even falsely called a spider, since the species is cataloged under a different name in the zoological categories. More likel scorpions, the camel spider is part of an arachnid order known as the solifugae; they live in arid hot climates, including deserts from both the Northern and the Southern hemispheres. Unlike the general opinion that associates spiders with webs, this is not the case with the huntsman spider: this species goes out to hunt its pray as it doesn't wait for it to get caught in a web. Tree bark, crevices and even garages and sheds are the favorite places where the huntsman spider would make its home. Placed above their home web, such silky defenses lower the vulnerability of spiders in front of aerial predators. There are other spiders which do not depend on webs for survival, and one famous example of such a species is the giant tarantula. Though they can produce silk threads, they are however hunting their prey down by using the ambush method. Brown recluse spiders are also very special by the way they have the eyes located on the body. Unlike other spider species that have four pairs of eyes, brown recluse spiders have only three: one medianly located and the other two pairs lateral. If you suspect to have been bitten by such a spider, it is good to keep a close watch on how the condition of the affected area evolves.
