Lots of doctors recommend a minor surgical intervention in the tissue area affected by the venom, yet the excision could impair the recovery as such and may increase the risk of scarring. The curious fact is that lots of brown recluse spider bites have been reported in parts of America where this species does not live. Spider Bites Though most people fear spider bites because of the nasty symptoms associated with them, sometimes there is nothing to worry about, as a small skin wound is no threat for one's health. Not all spider bites are dangerous, since the majority of spider species are totally harmless for humans; with the exception of a few venomous ones, the rest are pretty safe. Though, there are some morphological differences, the three varieties are pretty much related and similar to each other. Like many other venomous creatures, the black widow spider has bright red pattens on it as a warning sign for predators that would attempt to feed on it. The black widow spider is not capable of killing a bird that would eat it, but the digestive sickness that would follow, will be definitely enough to make it avoid attacking the black widow again. The female funnel web spider lives very isolated, it remains in the burrow for almost its entire life; males are the ones that go out to hunt and find mates particularly in summer and autumn months. The number of reported bites is the highest during the mating season when the funnel web spider males enter in houses and garages through small gaps in the doors and window sills. Aloe vera, ice chips and antibiotics applied on the bite are thought to reduce the discomfort and speed up healing; yet, none of them is considered a 100% reliable remedy for hobo spider bites. The consequences of the exposure to the venom of hobo spiders are less serious than the bites of the brown recluse spider for instance. Keep in mind the fact that these creatures will not attack unless they feel threatened, as a human is no prey for their match. The harm the spider venom can inflict depends on the fierceness with which the spider will defend itself. Furthermore, poisonous spiders are part of balanced ecosystems where they insure a living equilibrium among other species of insects.
