They have started making movements that create sharp angles to the pocket that are able to hit the pins with maximum energy. With the variety of modern balls available, bowlers are able to create styles that help them hook the balls. Bowling balls that are designed today are able to provide stronger and better hooking capacity. but there are also pins that are now allowed (beginning in 1998) that weighs 3lb. and 10oz. Bowling pins are made by gluing blocks of hard maple wood together. Makers of bowling pins use these blocks to create the pin shape by using a lathe. The formed shape will then be coated with hard layers of plastic material and are painted white to produce a finished product that is shiny and pleasing to the eye. Bowling consisted of four parts: the lane, the approach, the pit, and the pin deck. The approach is where players take several strides to get the maximum adrenaline they need to release the ball and knock down the pins. There is a control line (foul line) which marks the place where players must let go of the ball. The bowlers should also learn to observe the rules and guidelines set of the game and the bowling alley. Rules are there to keep bowlers safe and create healthy relationship with other bowlers. It is important that these rules be observed at all times. 5. One guideline that should be observed is choosing and using the same ball throughout the game. Bowlers who want to make it big by hitting strikes more often than not have to work at it. Like in any sport, great action comes in small packages, where the attention is focused on the techniques learned and used by that player. It is important for every player to know how to hone his or her skills to win the game. Practice doing the steps slowly and visualize a ball in your hand. It will be helpful to do the flare in front of a mirror to get used to the way the body is maneuvered during the approach. 8. Always aim at the head pin. Look at the balls closely and concentrate on hitting the target. Never take the eyes away from the head pin during the first or second ball.
