Although those in practice do not refer to it as another type of reflexology but an entirely different method borne out of a fusion of two principles, reflexology and Ayurveda, the traditional Indian health system. Ayurveda is of two Indian words; 'Ayur' or life and 'veda' or knowledge. The term roughly means the knowledge of life. But if you are not, then your state has its own set of regulations so you may have to personally check out their websites or related organizations. It all starts with trainings and certifications You need to have the right trainings and certifications in order to practice reflexology. Now the good news is that there are a number of training schools that offer trainings and seminars. When having bouts with headache, take a rest and relax yourself by pressing on the tips of your fingers. These tips represent the brain, head and the sinus. The left hand is for the left area of the brain and vice versa. One of the possible reasons for headache can also be dizziness caused by low vision. Apply pressure just below the knuckles on the back of the hand and on the palm for the pressure points of the chest, breast, lungs and upper back. The base of the thumb on the palm where thin loose skin webs it to the side of the palm is the area where the pressure point of the heart is located. Press this area until you feel calm and the chest or heart pain has subsided. If you are experiencing any of these, it would greatly help if you start applying pressure on this particular area and see a doctor right away. The gall bladder point, on the other hand is located on the sole of the right foot about a centimetre from the outer edge. The centimetre from the edge should be measured on an adult's foot. This area should remind us of the upper torso of the human body. Interestingly, pressure points of internal organs such as the liver, pancreas, heart and diaphragm are all located in the inside of the palm or on the soles of the feet as if it is the 'inside' of the body. For instance, the gall bladder's pressure point is located within the entire pressure point of the liver.
