Many people whose relationships are on the rocks don t realize it yet that single parenting would be the best option for their child rather than placing them in an environment where there is tension everyday. Aside from their personal growth, experts say that one of the areas where the child is greatly affected by constant fighting inside the house is his or her schooling. Taking care of a child can be pretty daunting, all the more when this young fellow depends on you for everything for food, shelter and even education in the future. You have your work cut out for you and for some people this can be pretty daunting. But don t get overwhelmed. Like every challenge that you will need to face in life, there are ways to getting around it and finally overcoming it. To be successful in single parenting, it is a must that parents have explained very well to the teenager the real reasons behind the separation for them to gain self-confidence that is crucial for their growth. The best way to explain the separation is by treating them like mature individuals. Experts say that this is very important for them because they will feel that they are old enough to understand the issues that old people go through. It is also much easier to handle if the single parent have the support of their parents, their relatives, their friends and the whole community as opposed to those who have to move to another place to start anew because of social stigma. It is also easier to handle if you have the support of the partner as with those who get alimony from a divorce or those being supported by a partner that is assigned in another country to work. This is especially true if your partner is not going to be supporting your child or be there at least a few days a month to assume his or her responsibility. No doubt, single parenting is tough. It is hard to raise a child as it is without having to do it on your own but single parenting is a reality that we all have to deal with and make the best of. There are options in choosing a donor: through known donor, directed donor, an anonymous donor and open-identity. Each of these options poses unique situation for a child to deal with. In a known donor option, a child is given the opportunity to know about his genetic identity and medical history. It can be more complicated than other options but some mothers feel better about knowing who is the child's father is.
