Bowling Tip #6: What if I can t be at the alley enough to practice? Any smooth surface with a long, clear distance is suitable for practicing your approach. It s not safe to practice the release, however, as a bowling ball will easily roll straight through walls if you miss your target! Not to mention you ll ruin the surface of your ball. The very nature of swinging the arm with a weight of the ball at the end and the sliding motion as you move towards the alley puts a considerable amount of stress on your muscles and joints. It is good practice to do some warm-up exercises before bowling. This will make sure that your muscles are sufficiently warmed up and your joints loose enough for the activities you're about to perform. So for those who wish to make a strike or a spare in order to win a match, here are three bowling techniques that they can use: 1. Spinner This technique refers to the way of delivering a shot with the intention that no more than a minor part of the ball touches contacts the lane. This technique promotes less friction between the ball and the lane, not considering the "oiling pattern" of that lane. Because its rules are easier to understand, more and more people are engaging in this sport, not because of competition but basically because they want to enjoy the time with their friends or family. With all these advantages, many people are still not aware of the health benefits that bowling can provide. This is to avoid any possible injury, which results from muscles that were not yet toned and conditioned before the activity. In fact, most health experts say that doing warm up exercises increases the capacity of the person to withstand the activity or the game. It has been clinically proven that warm up exercises can actually boost an individual's working ability and can lessen, if not eliminate, the chances of injury. Whether it's teenagers or younger children going to the bowling alley, it is very important to remember the game is just that. Children will likely need some good instruction and they might not be all that great starting out. Remember, you are all there to have fun, not bowl a perfect 300. Make it a personal competition.
